Vanity HQ Message Board
Usage Policy Agreement

Contrary to the belief of some, this message board is not a public forum for subject matter of their choosing. This message board has a dedicated purpose, and it is not the proper place for anyone to exercise their right to "free speech".

The primary purpose of this message board is to help others with problems or questions regarding a vanity call sign or vanity application. The secondary purpose is to ask about, or to broadcast, other ham-related topics that are of general interest to the ham community. These two purposes are clearly stated at the top of the message board web page.

Those "other" ham-related topics do not include name-calling, opinions about someone's mental capabilities, personal attacks, hate mail, trouble making, and any thing else that does not help others. If you have an opinion about someone's character, mental state or abilities, or IQ, keep it to yourself, because it is not welcome here. The message board is not a "chat room", and trivial, "nonsense" comments are not permitted. The message board is not an arena for starting a fight.

When web surfers and perspective vanity applicants encounter this message board and read some of the garbage that is posted here, that reflects badly upon Amateur Radio, and, it reflects badly upon me, the host, and I don't like that. I run a clean operation and I expect my "guests" to abide by the house rules. Keep your language clean, and keep the focus of your messages related to helping others, or yourself. If you don't like the rules, then don't participate. - Michael Carroll, N4MC
