Well I feel bad that the 13 wpm wasn't kept for the extra class, but I do agree with the fcc ruling. Other than that I'm going to upgrade to extra as I have passed the written test last july and not dwell on the lack of a 20wpm test. Also I feel that we the older hams 20+ yrs should help the new comers MUCH MORE than we did the first nocode hams if we don't want our dreams of what "we like to think ham radio is" go to heck in a handbasket! What I mean is have a DXER in your club have a class on the RIGHT WAYS to go after DX dito for ritty,psk31,packet,etc,etc....see what I'm getting at? Start helping now or I'm very afraid that there'll be heck to pay and it just mite be by losing our bands to operate on..8^(.............P.S. I'd like to learn how to do psk31,ritty,etc....(been a ham for 23yrs 2/18/00) I've only done a little DX and lots of ragchewing!
