"Out of Area" ( OOA) Callsigns - Is It Increasing?- FOLLOW-UP

I originally posted this because I was curious re the "OOA" % for the EXTRA Class call signs. Seems MOST OOA calls are for Vanity 1x2 or 2x1 Extra Calls.

I have not seen anyone specifically mention any statistics. Maybe an FCC data base oriented site like vanityHQ or qrz could analyze say a random sample of 500 extra calls. Then randomly try general, ADV, TECH, and finally Tech+ and write up a summary.

Seems the real hurting cowboys are the souls in 6 land & 4 land ( me ).. I may be moving from 4 land to another call area. I may get an OOA vanity "ahead" of time in anticipation of the move into the "proper" call area in a few years.
