I've filed 2 applications via the ULS for K8NF (and a few other calls) and both have been dismissed because the call signs requested were not available. I assumed the first app was dismissed because I jumped the gun a couple weeks after I got my CSCE for extra. But what baffles me is the most recent dismissal of my app #80348. My first choice call was K8NF and according to the databases, incl the FCC's, it is still available. One person did include it on a app prior to me, but they received another call sign. ANY SUGGESTIONS? Next time I guess I'll be sure to put in a list with all 25 choices !!
