Bil's original question asked about "hams working on amateur radio repeaters in the WTC" that died. All the lists and references point to six hams that died at the WTC (and one at the Pentagon), but I haven't seen any statements or evidence that they were actually working on the amateur repeaters when the attack happened.

So it appears that the REAL answer to Bil's question is that yes, six hams died at the WTC, but any rumor that they died while working on amateur repeaters does not appear to be corroborated.
