Peshawar Air Station, (West) Pakistan was the last APO NY. The next country (west?) was APO SF, IIRC.

Peshawar is literally half way around the world from Phoenix AZ. At noon in Phoenix it was midnight in Pakistan.

The climate was exactly like the climate in Phoenix, as well.
