The original W and K ham calls were reserved as a pair, in case the mainland ham moved offshore or vice versa, so there would have been a K6TT (Hawaii) or a W6TT (mainland), but not both. In the 1929 DOC callbook, W6TT was a radio club in CA, so the K version was not likely then.

I don't see it issued again until Lappe, who you know about from your eHam posting.
