Mike,

Yes I submitted a copy of the death certificate along with a letter explaining the circumstances and what my plans were. The certified letter was received by the FCC on Monday Jan 26 and I applied for the vanity call on Jan 29th. Maybe I should have waited a few more days before applying but I hope that the cancellation occurs before the processing of the application. According to the time frames I am hearing about on VHQ, it should make it. If not, I'll just reapply once it does get canceled.
