Bil,

Although the prediction is that my applicaiton is likely to be dismissed, that is based on lack of all the data. As you may have read, I have a cancellation in the works already but has not been processed - hence my question about how long.

I have to disagree with the predicition based on that caveat. Providing the cancellation goes thru prior to my application's final processing, I see no reason for the dismissal. Since I am the ONLY one eligible right now for W5DQ callsign (as a relative of the former holder) the only thing preventing re-issuance is the timing of the cancellation.

But should my application be dismissed, I'll just have to reapply since the cancellation will happen. Then I'll apply for refund on the first fee.

Kind of a chicken and the egg situation for me right now - which will come first; cancellation or dismissal. Guess I'll either be lucky or learn a lesson in following direction a bit more closely.

Oh the joy of waiting.
