Greetings:

I currently hold a vanity call (W9IP) that I've carried less than two years, and am considering going back to my old callsign (KA6SGT) due to an "identity crisis." KA6SGT was a system issued (non-vanity) call I've had for almost 30 years. I understand I would need to apply through the vanity system to get it back. However, would KA6SGT then become listed as a vanity call (HVAI) instead of system issued (HAI)? Also, would I then have to pay a vanity fee every 10 years thereafter?
