You sent me an email on 23 March 2002, asking me the same question.

I sent you the following answer on 27 May 2002:

"I have actually been able to find no previous holders of that call. The K1x2s were issued mostly sequentially during the 50s, 60s, and 70s. (The W 1x2s were the first calls issued, back in the teens and 20s.) But some of the smaller districts didn't make it all the way
through the alphabet, and the third is one of them.

I didn't check EVERY book, but I looked at the books every few years from the mid-50s up to the late 70s, with no sign of its being issued. There's no listing in the Winter 79 book, so it wasn't issued during the predecessor to the vanity program that existed in the late 70s for Extras. And the ULS Archives don't list anyone prior to you."

I don't think anything has changed.
