If you are not planning to have your current callsign changed as a result of the upgrade then no, it would not be an issue. Your requested vanity call is valid for either your present or upgraded class.

However, do remember to take the particulars regarding the vanity callsign change application (document no. of application) with you as there is a question on the Form 605 that asks if there are any pending Commission applications regarding your current callsign/FRN. You will need to provide that info.
